Delilah was written for the runner Delilah DiCrescenzo. When Tom met her, he said "I have a song about you already" but she wasn't "that into him"- he still wrote the song for her, but it wasn't this big "I'm totally in love with this girl she's my future wife" she was just "the most beautiful woman he'd ever seen" (his words- and she really is gorgeous).
